We all know Terms & Conditions are really boring.

 

These are no exception. We fell asleep two times while we wrote them!

BUT – we need them so that there is no misunderstanding if you decide to change or cancel anything. If you transact through this website then we will give you every chance to read these. Any quotes and bookings undertaken are done so on the understanding that you have read and agree to these terms. We play fair and we know we play with people who play fair!

I. Terms & Condition for multi-day tours

e.g. Self Drive Tours, multi-day guided Small Group Tours, multi-day guided Luxury & Private Tours, Bespoken Tours (all incl. pre-booked accommodation, rental cars, activities, transports, guides, etc.)

Quotes are subject to availability of specific accommodation and other inclusions. Prices may vary depending on your choice/special requests of:

  • time of the year (main season, mid season, off season)
  • type of room and accommodation (double room, twin room, single room, motels, 3-5 Star hotels, B&B, luxury boutique lodges, etc.)
  • type of rental car (large 4×4 SUV, Hybrid, Limousine, Minibus, etc.)

 

Booking / Reservation / Payments:

Many vendors calculate their prices out of season and with rates that are not feasible in reality. We calculate at the main travel time, this means our prices may also go down. The cost may fluctuate when the pricing is in any other currency other than $NZD. We endeavour to smooth currency changes as much as possible and so changes are negligible. And of course the cost may go down too.
 

Full payment of all bookings is due a minimum of 60 days prior to tour departure. The cost for the booked tour must be received by us 65 days prior to the tour commencement date. If the reservation is made within 60 days then payment is due upon receiving the confirmation document from us. We may also ask for full payment or a suitable deposit payment prior to making any reservations at our discretion. Certain tour arrangements (guided walks and other special arrangements) may also require full payment at an earlier date and we will advise you of this if necessary at the time of booking.

 

Please note that failure to make the payment on the due date may result in the tour arrangements being cancelled. We withhold the right to cancel any bookings that have not been paid on time. For all payment received less than 21 days prior to tour departure a late payment fee of 100.00 NZD may be charged.

 

Payment options are:

  1. You can elect to make payment directly into our bank accounts. We have accounts in New Zealand and EU/Germany. Details provided on request. For international/currency transactions we recommend „Transfer Wise“ (without bank fees, safe, fast and inexpensive)
  2. Via Paypal

All transaction fees including exchange of currency is to be met by the booking Agent or Direct Client. Great Days will not cover any costs associated with the transfer of funds except in the case of fees imposed by Great Days bank.

 

Availability:

Quoted costs, specific accommodations and activities and the start/departure times of tours and activities are subject to change at any time. The inclusion of an accommodation or activity or other item in a quote does not constitute that it is available. Only upon receipt of a confirmed booking advice is the full itinerary and its components confirmed.Where a property or activity is not available for a requested booking we will replace this with a suitable alternative of similar standard and endeavor to do so at the same cost. We reserve the right to adjust costs where this is not possible and we will advise you of the alternatives and additional costs.

 

GST (New Zealand Goods and Service Tax):All our pricing includes all GST at 15%.

 

Cancellation and amendment policy:

You may cancel or amend your tour for any reason at any time, however please bear in mind our cancellation and amendment costs – and other enquiris may be rejected by us to secure your booking. For that reason there is a cancellation fee.

  • Cancellation 60 – 51 days prior to the tour arrangements commencing:
    Loss of deposit amount. This is the equivalent of 35% of the cost for our deposits/prepayments/reservation fees plus any other prepaid or advance payment items.
  • Cancellation 50 – 21 days prior your tour commencement date:
    A cancellation fee of 45% of the total tour reservation net value.
  • Cancellation 20 – 8 days prior your tour commencement date:
    A cancellation fee of 70% of the total tour reservation net value.
  • Cancellation 7 days or less prior your tour commencement date:
    If the client cancels the tour within 7 days of the tour commencement date a cancellation fee of 100% of the total tour reservation net value.

While we understand that cancellations may at times be unavoidable we highly recommend our clients purchase adequate travel insurance to cover for this.

  • Additional cancellation fees may be incurred for, but not necessarily limited to, reservations for other activities and accommodation. We reserve the right to reclaim these costs from you

 

II. Terms & Condition for Day tours & Shore Excursions:

Prices are subject to availability on specific days and other inclusions. Prices may vary depending on your choice of:

  • time of the year (main season, mid season, off season)
  • type of transport car and/or your special requests(large 4×4 SUV, 8-12 Seater Van, Limousine, Hybrid, Minibus, catering etc.)

 

Booking / Reservation / Payments:

The cost for the booked tour must be received by us 14 days after receiving the invoice. If the reservation is made within 14 days then payment is due upon receiving the confirmation document from us. We may also ask for full payment or a suitable deposit payment prior to making any reservations at our discretion. Certain tour arrangements may also require full payment at an earlier date and we will advise you of this if necessary at the time of booking. Please note – failure to make the payment on the due date may result in the tour arrangements being cancelled.

    If the client cancels the tour within 48 hours of the tour commencement date a cancellation fee of 100% of the total tour reservation net value.

While we understand that cancellations may at times be unavoidable we highly recommend our clients purchase adequate travel insurance to cover for this.

  • Additional cancellation fees may be incurred for, but not necessarily limited to, reservations for other activities and accommodation. We reserve the right to reclaim these costs from you

 
 

III. General Notes and Conditions

 

  • Great Days acts primarily as a booking agent or intermediary for the operators providing the services referred to in our itineraries and travel documents, and not as a principal. We will not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accidents, delay or irregularity occurring to any person or property in the course of any journey, tour, activity or accommodation or the use of any services or facilities booked by Great Days and operated by third party suppliers.
  • Great Days is unable to assist with Visa Arrangements and reserves the full right to charge full cancellation fees, should a tour be cancelled due to client not obtaining a visa. The traveller is responsible for all passport, visa, customs and health related obligations. Great Days is not responsible for failure of travellers to produce required documentation.
  • If the contract is voided by the traveller during the journey, any right of recourse or repayment is negated. All associated costs are the sole responsibility of the traveller. No costs, including the cost of court action will be met by Great Days.
  • Due to unforeseen circumstances e.g. weather, earthquake, fire, road and park closures, political events or natural catastrophes; v reserves the rights to change or alter tours without prior notice according to the nature of the situation. In some cases suppliers may still be enforcing cancellation and no show fees, which cannot be covered by Great Days and will be passed on to the Agent or Direct Client.
  • Area of Jurisdiction is Auckland,New Zealand.
  • Reservations and Bookings are accepted only in accordance with the terms and conditions hereby set out by Great Days. The validity of the contract is dependent upon the Agent and/or Direct Client fully meeting the above Terms and Conditions.
